I present the results from state-of-the-art computer simulations
of structure formation in the early universe. I cover a variety of topics including the formation of primordial stars, the effect of
heavy elements and dust in a low-metallicity gas, and the formation of massive blackholes in the early universe. I also
explore detecting early superluminous supernovae in the upcoming optical/infrared survey, which I believe will be
an ultimate probe of the high-redshift universe.
