A Theoretical Model for LAE in Hierarchical Galaxy Formation: Comparison with the LAEs at z=4.86 in the COSMOS 2-sq. degree Field

(Optical and Infrared Astronomy Division, NAOJ)

We have constructed a theoretical model for LAEs based on one of the latest semi-analytic model for galaxy formation. It has been shown that our model nicely reproduces all of the available observational statistical quantities (i.e., Lya/UV LFs, EW(Lya) distribution) of the LAEs at various redshift (z=3-7) with only three model parameters. Here we show a comparison of our model with the observational quantities of the LAEs at z=4.86 in the COSMOS field (Shioya et al., 2009) which is published after our model is constructed. Our model prediction to the physical quantities of these LAEs will be presented.
