We build up mock catalogues for the COSMOS survey based on the galaxy formation model developed by the Munich Group. Previous work has shown that this model reproduces many aspects of the statistical properties and the clustering of real galaxies, both in the nearby universe and at high redshift. We present results using two underlying cosmologies, one consistent with 1-year WMAP results and one consistent with the 3-year WMAP results. Each of them includes 11 filters from GALEX FUV to IRAC IR. We compare the color and redshift distributions from our mock catalogues with COSMOS results using the same selection criteria. The galaxy counts as a function of redshift are well reproduced. Our galaxy formation model can thus be used to interpret the COSMOS data and help to understand galaxy formation over cosmic time.
