The zCOSMOS 10k sample with its high success rate in measuring redshifts (close to 100% at 0.5<z<0.8), good velocity accuracy (about 100kms^-1), fairly uniform sampling rate across the field and high angular completeness on small scales is well suited for the studies of the close kinematic pairs of galaxies. Using reconstructed 3D density field, morphological information from ZEST and rich multiwavelength information from COSMOS we would like to show various properties of the close kinematic pairs as a function of their projected distance, environment etc. and compare them with an underlying sample.
