Early results and perspectives of the Large Program
currently under way with SINFONI at the VLT will be discussed. The project is aimed at clarifying several aspects of the structure, dynamics, star-formation and nuclear activity, mass growth
and feedback processes of redshift ~2 galaxies selected from the zCOSMOS-Deep sample. Adaptive-optics observations of the targets is being done with the SINFONI integral-field spectrometer.
