Dust, Molecular Gas and Star Formation in High Redshift Galaxies

Eva SCHINNERER
(MPIA)

The recent detection of molecular gas in star forming galaxies at a redshift above 4 suggests that their is a population similar to the well-studied sub-mm galaxies at a redshift of z~2 which are believed to be the progenitors of the local massive elliptical galaxies. I will summarize our ongoing effort and recent results. In addition, I will show recent results from a stacking analysis of BzK galaxies at z~2 which suggest a strong dependance between dust attenuation and amount of star formation present.
