Galaxies at high redshift are significantly different in structure and physical properties compared to galaxies in the local Universe. ALMA allows us to probe these differences in more detail at z > 5. In my talk I will discuss a potential evolution of the dust properties and distribution in z=5.5 galaxies compared to lower redshifts making use of the IRX-Beta diagram. There may be less evolution as suggested by previous studies when including accurate UV colors from HST and a increase in IR temperature based on local galaxies and high-z analogs. Nonetheless, a large fraction of galaxies remain that cannot be explained by common simple models of dust attenuation in galaxies. For these young and turbulent galaxies the dust distribution is significantly altered.
