We use the zCosmos 10k sample to study the influence of luminosity and environment on the galaxy merger rate up to redshift z~1. The main issue of this work is to quantify the role of interactions and mergers on the galaxies evolution. We compare the merger rates derived from this survey with previous works to quantify the evolution of the parameter "m" through the standard parametrization ~ (1+z)^m. We also attempt to understand if the environment where mergers take place evolves as a function of redshift.
