I will present a study of the near and mid-IR properties of X-ray selected AGN, both from XMM and Chandra, in the COSMOS field. I will focus in a comparison with dust re-emission models in order to determine physical and geometrical parameters of the obscuring material. I will further discuss possible trends with AGN parameters like luminosity and redshift.
