Recent results suggest that both nature and nurture are driving factors of galaxy evolution. In order to disentangle the complex coupling of mass-driven and environment-driven effects, we use a mass-selected sample of LIRGs/ULIRGs detected at 24 micron in S-COSMOS, and study their properties in bins of galaxy stellar mass. We will discuss the evolution of obscured star-formation in this LIRG sample and its dependence on galaxy environment since z=1.2.
We will present preliminary results on the environment of AGN in C-COSMOS.
